Dallas Cowboys Season Review:

The 2011 Dallas Cowboys season marked the first full year for Jason Garrett at the helm.  After his good finish to the season from taking over Wade Philipps’ duties, Garrett was elevated to full time Head Coach of the Cowboys from his interim status.

Although the Cowboys improved from their record of 6-10 from the previous year, frustration continued as the finished at 8-8 and were beaten in the final game by the New York Football Giants to officially be eliminated from playoff contention.  The Giants ended up winning the Super Bowl that season.

Fans were beginning to get on quarterback Tony Romo for his continuous bad performances especially in big games.  Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones stood behind Tony Romo as the franchise player of the Cowboys.

Dallas Cowboys Highlights:

  • Dallas Cowboys make Jason Garrett Head Coach
  • Cowboys draft DeMarco Murray from Alabama in the 3rd Round
  • DeMarcus Ware continues his way towards his hall of fame career
