Dallas Cowboys Season Review:

2007 marked the end of an era and a new begging when legendary coach Bill Parcells decided to retire and Wade Phillips was hired.  Wade Philipps was and is a very respected coach in the NFL.  His first year as coach saw the Cowboys go 13-3 and clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Jason Garrett also joined the team this season as offensive coordinator and the duo of Garrett (a former backup to Troy Aikman) and Romo proved to be a potent duo.  The Cowboy fans were convinced that they were back in the glory years of the early 90’s

Unfortunately the Cowboys lost in the divisional round of the playoffs to their arch rival and eventual Super Bowl Champions New York Giants.  This extended the Cowboys Playoff winless streak to 6 games but more important or depressing to 11 years.

Dallas Cowboys Highlights:

  • The Cowboys saw 13 players were named to the Pro Bowl, an NFL record.
  • On March 1, the Cowboys released quarterback Drew Bledsoe
  • Cowboys have a season record of 13-3 tops in the NFC
