Dallas Cowboys Season Review:

Coach Parcells was entering his 3rd season as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys and was looking to better his previous season that saw the team finish with a 6-10 record and missing the playoffs.  A lot of hype surrounded the acquisition of former Patriots quarterback and now Buffalo Bill quarterback #11 Drew Bledsoe.

The Cowboys lost their last remaining three-time super bowl champion when Darren Woodson announced his retirement when the offseason started.  The Cowboys chose DE out of Troy Demarcus Ware in the draft.  Ware went on to be the all-time leading sacker in Cowboys history before he left for Denver after the 2013 season.

When all the dust settled the Cowboys could improve their season results by one win finishing with a record of 9-7 and for the second year in a row finish out of the tournament.

Dallas Cowboys Highlights:

  • Cowboys acquire Drew Bledsoe from the Buffalo Bills
  • Cowboys draft future hall of famer DaMarcus Ware #1
